From the 1st of July 2007 the laws on
smoking change in England

It will be illegal to smoke in public buildings and you must have signs displayed to enforce this. Your current signs may not be enough as the new signs must display the wording "It is against the law to smoke in these premises" or words that describe the premises such as a school. These signs must be at least A5 and displayed at any entrance to the building.
